Framar International Inc. (“Framar”) is sensitive to the concerns that you have about the use of the information that you disclose to Framar via its website, social media accounts, messaging services, and other means. Accordingly, this Privacy Policy (the “Policy”) sets forth Framar’s privacy practices and the possible uses of the information that it gathers. Framar will not sell, share, or rent your information to others in ways different from those disclosed in this Policy.

Collection of Your Information

In connection with your communications and other interactions with Framar and/or its website, Framar may request and/or collect certain personal information from you, which may include, without limitation, your personal name, business name, address, phone number, email address, credit card information, geographic location, and geopositional data (collectively, “Your Information”). You expressly consent to Framar’s use of Your Information for purposes discussed herein.

Use of Your Information

Framar will use Your Information to: (a) fulfil an order that you place; (b) communicate with you; (c) send you promotional and/or other marketing information about products, services, and offerings; (d) administer and support its website; (e) better understand your needs and how Framar can improve its products and services; (f) monitor the usage of its website; (g) process payments; (h) carry out its obligations and enforce its rights arising relating to billing and collection; and (i) accomplish any other purpose with your consent.

If you are located outside Canada, please note that Framar transfers Your Information to Canada and processes it there. Framar will take all the steps reasonably necessary to ensure that Your Information is treated securely and in accordance with this Policy and no transfer of Your Information will take place unless there are adequate controls in place to ensure the security of Your Information.

Framar may disclose Your Information in the following instances or to the following persons: (a) if Framar is required to disclose Your Information by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities; (b) if Framar is involved in a merger, acquisition or asset sale, in which case, Framar will provide you notice before Your Information is transferred and becomes subject to a different Privacy Policy; (c) to Framar’s subsidiaries and affiliated companies; (d) to contractors, service providers, and other third parties Framar uses to support its business; (e) for any other purpose disclosed by Framar when you provide Your Information; (f) with your consent in any other cases; and/or (g) if Framar believes disclosure is necessary or appropriate to protect the rights, property, or safety of Framar, its customers, or others.

Security of Your Information

The security of Your Information is important to Framar, but remember that no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While Framar strives to use commercially acceptable means to protect Your Information, Framar cannot guarantee its absolute security.

Your Data Protection Rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you are entitled to learn what data Framar collects  about you, ask that Framar delete your data, and/or ask that Framar not sell or share it. To exercise your data protection rights, you can make certain requests and ask Framar what personal information it has about you. If you make this request, Framar will provide you with:

  • The categories of personal information it has collected about you.
  • The categories of sources from which it collects your personal information.
  • The business or commercial purpose for collecting or selling your personal information.
  • The categories of third parties with whom Framar shares personal information.
  • The specific pieces of personal information Framar has collected about you.
  • A list of categories of personal information that Framar has sold, along with the category of any other Framar who the information was sold it to. If Framar has not sold your personal information, it will inform you of that fact.
  • A list of categories of personal information that Framar has disclosed for a business purpose, along with the category of any other company who the information was shared with.

Please note, you are entitled to ask Framar to provide you with this information up to two times in a rolling twelve-month period. When you make this request, the information provided may be limited to the personal information Framar collected about you in the previous twelve months.

If you request that Framar delete your personal information, Framar will do so and direct any service providers to do the same. In some cases, deletion may be accomplished through de-identification of the information. If you choose to delete your personal information, you may not be able to use certain functions of Framar’s website that require your personal information to operate.

Please note, if you ask Framar to delete or stop selling your data, it may impact your experience with Framar’s website, and certain functionality of the website that require the usage of your personal information to function may not work. But in no circumstances, will Framar discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

Framar may employ third party companies and individuals to facilitate the sale of its goods (“Service Providers”), provide services or goods on Framar’s behalf, or assist Framar in analyzing how its website, goods, and services are used by consumers. Framar’s website and social media accounts may contain links to other sites that are not operated or controlled by Framar. If you click a third-party link, you will be directed to that third party's site. Framar strongly advises you to review the Privacy Policy of every site you visit. Framar has no control over and assumes no responsibility for the content, privacy policies or practices of any third-party sites or services.

Children’s Privacy

Framar’s website and social media accounts are not intended for use by children under the age of eighteen (“Child” or “Children”). Framar does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from Children under eighteen. If you become aware that a Child has provided Framar with personal data, please contact Framar. If Framar becomes aware that it has collected personal data from Children without verification of parental consent, Framar will take steps to remove that information from its servers.

Changes to This Policy

Framar may update the Policy from time-to-time. Framar will notify you of any changes by posting the new Policy on this page. Framar will let you know via a prominent notice on its website, prior to the change becoming effective, and update “effective date” at the top of this Policy. You are advised to review this Policy periodically for any changes. Changes to this Policy are effective when they are posted on this page.
